Probe®
personal
lubricant is a water-based, water-soluble personal lubricant
compounded of three ingredients dissolved in deionized
water. It is condom compatible and safe for vaginal, oral,
and rectal use. In physical appearance, it is a colorless,
translucent, highly viscoeleastic fluid with very slight
taste and odor.
Probe®
lubricants contains no perfumes or colorants. It is preserved
by Grapefruit Seed Extract, which acts as both an antimicrobial
and antifungal agent. Probe®
lubricant is not sterile and contains no Nonoxynol-9.
It is pH neutral, non-toxic, and safe to swallow. Probe®
lubricant
supplements the body's natural lubrication, alleviates
vaginal dryness, and enhances sexual pleasure. Approximate

The glycerin
used in Probe®
is
derived solely from vegetable oils. The polyethylene
oxide polymer used in Probe®
is an FDA approved food additive used in malt beverages.
Probe®
lubricant
conforms to all applicable sections of the Federal Food,
Drug and Cosmetic Act. These laws may be examined in the
Code of Federal Regulations, Part 21 (21 CFR). Probe®
lubricant is an approved Class II Medical Device (21 CFR

Probe®
personal lubricant products are manufactured in a licensed
pharmaceutical laboratory. In addition to rigorous physical
tests during production and before distribution, Probe®
lubricant must also pass regular microbiological testing
at an independent laboratory with Total Plate Counts of
<10 counts/ml. The current expiration date for Probe®
lubricant
is five (5) years from date of manufacture.
In
distribution since 1981, Probe®
personal lubricant has seen use by a number of State,
County, and City health departments. It is also found
in hospitals, private practices, and sexual health clinics
throughout the nation.
